Well I haven't posted much for the last month because I can't seem to get most of my pictures to upload to my blog. It's frustrating since we did so much fun stuff with our cousins from Texas. Hopefully they will appear soon.
So I went shopping today with all three kids. I know better though. Kyle makes most trips anywhere a little more difficult lately. I probably say at least every other week that "I am not taking him shopping ever again" and then the next week I have "something" I have to get from Costco or groceries that can't wait until evening. Plus I get cabin fever and have to find something to do. Anyway, this is what happened in Walmart today. Marissa had to use the bathroom twice - neither time were we anywhere close to a restroom. This is much harder than it seems since every time I have to get Kyle out of the cart and make him put his shoes on that he refuses to keep on every time I put him in a cart. Then I help Kyle wash his hands while having Kohlton in a sling on me - never an easy task to lift Kyle to the sink without smashing baby. The second trip to the restroom I asked Kyle twice to go pee which he refused. Then while standing in the toy aisle letting Marissa pick out a birthday gift for her friend Kyle gets that "look" and I say "Do you have to pee?". But too late... Pee is running down his pants, out of his flip-flops, and creating a huge puddle on the floor. I just froze and prayed that nobody was witnessing it. At least God heard my prayer since Kyle couldn't quit peeing as much as I begged him to stop. Then I take him to the bathroom again (third time now). Undress him and wipe him down. He now has no pants or shoes - luckily I had one diaper his size in my bag. I sneak a plastic bag out the the recycle to put his wet clothes in. So he is sitting in the cart half naked - we look pretty ghetto, for a lack of better words. I embarrassingly ask a worker to call for clean up on the aisle for our accident. Then I get the last few items I needed and suddenly I feel this hot surge of liquid on my belly. Now Kohlton has peed and it somehow shot out of the diaper and soaked me. I quickly head straight to check out and while I was putting my items up Kyle knocks my mocha off the front seat of the cart and it spatters all over the ground. That'll teach me to keep buying them! To top it all off, Kohlton cried the whole way home.
Needless to say it was the trip from hell. We won't be going back anytime soon - and I am certain we won't be missed.

Ahhh . . . to be peed on in public. There is nothing quite like it. I feel you about not wanting to shop with the munchkins. Prayers for some relaxing time soon.
ReplyDeleteOh Gina! That is so how it goes sometimes. I feel so bad for you. How frustrating!!! It made me giggle though because I have so had those days and already with Claire I threaten to never go shopping with her again. I am going to be in for it when we get to three.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! The joys of three! I feel your pain and have been there! Being a mama requires being peed on in public... I think. Now you know you are an experienced and seasoned mama. Ha! Love ya! Ashia
