Kites over Kingston

We went to the kite festival on the Kingston waterfront. It was raining and little wind but that didn't stop us! We had a blast! There was a band (Kyle loved watching it), they gave free streamers out to the kids and they just ran all around waving them. We bought a new kite, Marissa picked out a pretty parrot kite, and it flew great! Marissa did it for a couple hours, and did a great job flying it by herself. It was really cute, and she could have cared less that she was getting wet. It so great to see the kids outside getting exercise and playing!

The Big Sisters

Most of you know our good friends Ashia and Todd Mills. Well they just had their third baby, Hudson Micah Mills! Marissa and Hannah are the best of friends only 8 months apart, our second children Hunter and Kyle are 9 months apart, and now our thirds will be only 2 months apart. It is so neat that they all have someone their age to play with and grow up with. I feel so blessed to have them in our lives and raise our children together in Christ!

Marissa can hardly wait for our baby now. She just loved holding Hudson. She is such a great big sister and I know she will be a huge help to us!

Jeepin'

The kids just love their jeeps! We got these for free from one of Paul's coworkers. Kyle is already great at stearing and backing up at only 2 years old. Marissa likes to drive her baby doll around (she is down by her feet where she can't fall out).

The Hazards of Homeschooling

The other day while Marissa was working on her math she somehow managed to poke herself in the eye with her pencil, not once but twice. I left the room and when I returned I found her working like this...

She had Kyle's play safety goggles on and when I asked her why she was wearing them she said "I am sick of poking myself in the eye, so now I won't". Clever isn't she?
Marissa loves to draw and do crafts. A few days ago she figured out all on her own how to make a crown. She drew it, colored it, cut it out, taped it to a headpiece she also cut out and stapled it in the back to fit her head. She was very proud of it!

Another Boy Band!

My dad started a "band" with all his grandchildren. It is so cute and they just love it! Kyle is obsessed with playing guitar. Grandpa also plays guitar and they love to sing Jingle Bells (even though it is now spring), Itsy Bitsy Spider, Old MacDonald, and several others. All the grand kids have a kazoo, plus a bongo drum, maraca's, jingle bell thingy, and electric piano. Marissa mostly dances, sings, kazoo's, and drums. The boys all love the guitars.

And baby makes 5

I am starting this blog so I can record my thoughts and memories of this wonderful life God has blessed me with. I feel so fortunate to have such a loving husband, supportive family, beautiful home, and wonderful children. I am so glad that I live in a state that I am free to homeschool my children in and watch them learn and grow. I am still in awe that we are about to be a 5 person family and I am grateful to the Lord that He will give us the love, encouragment, and grace to be the parents of such amazing children!

My "baby" Kyle and my next baby at 7 months pregnant. We still find a way to snuggle even with my big belly.
