Ballet Show

Marissa had her third yearly dance show at the end of June. It was call "The Fairies of Pixie Hollow". She was a dewdrop. She did so good. Much less nervous that the past two years. Marissa just loves to dance. She is always dancing around the house. We keep asking her if she wants to try other sports or activities but she loves ballet so much she doesn't want to quit.
Just like her momma I guess :)

Kyle loved the show too and playing backstage

On stage! What a beautiful smile

Fast asleep on the way home with the flowers her daddy got her

Last years show (2008) she as a garden gnome in Rumplestilskins

And her first year of ballet (2007) she was a baby swan - so precious!

The Cabin

Here is the cabin out at Uncle Bob's diner. My uncle Frank (who passed away spring 2008) built it. It is so cute. The kids all adore it and love staying in it. It's right by the pond.

Cousins

Some of our cousins came up from Texas. Finally! Marissa has been waiting patiently since last summer. My cousin Movae and her kids Dane (13 yrs) and Natalie (11 yrs) came up in mid-June to visit. We had a blast with them. They played with all the kids so much. They all stayed out in my Aunt Pat's RV at uncle Bobs diner. They got here just in time to help Uncle Bob through his open heart surgery. Praise God, Uncle Bob is healing well. The kids all had so much fun playing together.

This picture is from the first night they got here.

We had a little Birthday party for my mom at my Papa's house

Dane got stuck in the mud (gross) and Paul had to throw him a rope and pull him out. It was pretty funny.

What was I thinking?

Well I haven't posted much for the last month because I can't seem to get most of my pictures to upload to my blog. It's frustrating since we did so much fun stuff with our cousins from Texas. Hopefully they will appear soon.

So I went shopping today with all three kids. I know better though. Kyle makes most trips anywhere a little more difficult lately. I probably say at least every other week that "I am not taking him shopping ever again" and then the next week I have "something" I have to get from Costco or groceries that can't wait until evening. Plus I get cabin fever and have to find something to do. Anyway, this is what happened in Walmart today. Marissa had to use the bathroom twice - neither time were we anywhere close to a restroom. This is much harder than it seems since every time I have to get Kyle out of the cart and make him put his shoes on that he refuses to keep on every time I put him in a cart. Then I help Kyle wash his hands while having Kohlton in a sling on me - never an easy task to lift Kyle to the sink without smashing baby. The second trip to the restroom I asked Kyle twice to go pee which he refused. Then while standing in the toy aisle letting Marissa pick out a birthday gift for her friend Kyle gets that "look" and I say "Do you have to pee?". But too late... Pee is running down his pants, out of his flip-flops, and creating a huge puddle on the floor. I just froze and prayed that nobody was witnessing it. At least God heard my prayer since Kyle couldn't quit peeing as much as I begged him to stop. Then I take him to the bathroom again (third time now). Undress him and wipe him down. He now has no pants or shoes - luckily I had one diaper his size in my bag. I sneak a plastic bag out the the recycle to put his wet clothes in. So he is sitting in the cart half naked - we look pretty ghetto, for a lack of better words. I embarrassingly ask a worker to call for clean up on the aisle for our accident. Then I get the last few items I needed and suddenly I feel this hot surge of liquid on my belly. Now Kohlton has peed and it somehow shot out of the diaper and soaked me. I quickly head straight to check out and while I was putting my items up Kyle knocks my mocha off the front seat of the cart and it spatters all over the ground. That'll teach me to keep buying them! To top it all off, Kohlton cried the whole way home.

Needless to say it was the trip from hell. We won't be going back anytime soon - and I am certain we won't be missed.

Port Gamble Park

A couple weeks ago I took the kids to a little park in Port Gamble. Paul rides the work bus home so he got dropped off there - the kids loves watching for the bus and daddy to get off.

Marissa loves to pick flowers anywhere we go.

Sleeping Baby

This was taken June 18th so Kohlton was almost 4 weeks old. I love to watch him sleep.
