My hardworking dad rebuilt the tree house he made my sister and I for our kids to enjoy now. It is super sturdy with a steering wheel and slide now. The kids love it. It is so neat to watch your kids enjoy the same things you did. And to be at the home I grew up in, playing in the orchard I loved, running around the fields that I loved to play in - it just floods me with happiness and memories as if I were experiencing my own childhood again. It makes me even more thankful that my parents are still married and in love, still healthy, and still the wonderful parents they have always been and now grandparents. We are so blessed that the Lord has kept us together and so close! Thank you mom and dad!
Marissa has also become quite the tree climber. She's been practicing in my parents orchard. She told me on the way home that she has to practice a lot because her "cousin Dane is the best tree climber, like a monkey, and she wants to show him how good she is now" when he visits from Texas this summer.
